Coming off their first home conference match of the season, West Virginia (4-3-5) is headed back on the road to take on No. 10 TCU (7-2-3) at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium at 8 p.m. on Thursday.

In their last match, the Mountaineers were able to come back from a 2-0 second half deficit to take home a draw against Kansas. AJ Rodriguez and Maya McCutheon both earned their second goals of the season in the match, while sophomore midfielder Dilary Heredia-Beltran picked up her third assist in the last two matches, giving her five on the season.

TCU defeated Kansas State 1-0 in their last match with senior Chaylyn Hubbard picking up her first goal of her career as the only one in the match. TCU has pitched clean sheets in their previous two matches, with their last goal being allowed against Texas on September 22nd.

West Virginia is 9-3-2 against TCU all-time, but TCU has won their previous two against the Mountaineers, both 1-0 victories, including defeating the Mountaineers in the Big 12 Championship in 2020. The Mountaineers now have the chance for revenge, as well as earning their first ranked win of the season, as they look to upset the top ten team on the road.

The players to watch for TCU are senior defender Chaylyn Hubbard, who along with her first career goal earned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, along with a spot on the College Soccer News National Team of the Week. The other player to watch for is senior forward Messiah Bright, who leads the Horned Frogs with seven goals in twelve games, to go along with two assists.
