West Virginia (3-0) is traveling away from home for the first time this season, heading to the Cancun Challenge, in Cancun, Mexico. Their first opponent will be Central Michigan (0-4). 

The Mountaineers have played their first three games of the season at home in the WVU Coliseum, with their wins coming against Appalachian State, Winthrop and USC Upstate. West Virginia’s smallest margin of victory over the three games was 21 points, in their win over Appalachian State on Sunday. 

On the other side, Central Michigan is still winless, losing their last three games by double-digits. Their closest game came in the first of the season, with a seven-point loss to Valparaiso. 

The only other time West Virginia played Central Michigan was nearly 50 years ago, when Central Michigan beat West Virginia 90-64 on Mar. 11, 1976. 

Central Michigan is led by Sydney Harris, who through the teams first four games of the season, is their only player averaging double digit points, with 13.8 points per game. 

The Mountaineers are holding opponents to just 43 points per game, which is second-best nationally. West Virginia is also forcing 30 turnovers per game, tied for third nationally.
