Joe Mazzulla and his two-seeded Boston Celtics find themselves in the toughest spot they have been in all year. After advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals, they met the Miami Heat, their third time in four years meeting in this series.
In the first two games of the series, Boston found themselves with a double-digit lead midway through the game, but those leads would not last long as the Heat would come back and steal both games. The Heat were able to take a two game lead with the series then headed to Miami for games three and four.
With the series now in Miami, Mazzulla and the Celtics are in a must win game three, desperate to not go down 3-0 in the series. However, the Heat ran away with it, leading by as many as 33 at one point.
Mazzulla and the Celtics now find themselves in a position that no NBA team has ever come back from. NBA teams are 0-150 when trailing 3-0 in a series.
Mazzulla and the Celtics came into game four and were able to keep the dream alive as they took down the Miami Heat to avoid the sweep. The series will now make its way back to Boston for game five. That game will take place on Thursday with tip-off set for 8:30.
