Let the countdown begin, West Virginia Football’s season opener at Penn State is now 100 days away.
Kickoff of the game at Beaver Stadium is set for Saturday September 2 at 7:30 p.m. on NBC.
The two schools are renewing their rivalry for the first time since 1992. Penn State leads the all-time series 48-9-2.
The last matchup in 1992 was won by Penn State 40-26 at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown. The last West Virginia win was in 1988 when West Virginia won a home contest against the Nittany Lions 51-30 en route to an undefeated regular season.
ESPN Analytics is currently giving Penn State a 91% chance of winning. DraftKings currently has the Mountaineers as 18.5-point underdogs heading into the matchup.
