West Virginia basketball adds St. Johns transfer

West Virginia basketball made their second addition on Thursday since interim head coach Josh Eilert took over adding Quinn Slazinski.

Slazinski, a 6-foot-9 forward had signed with St. Johns, but recently entered the transfer portal again. Slazinski attended Hungtinton Prep High School and is familiar with the staff at WVU.

He spent two seasons at Louisville and two at Iona. During his career he has averaged 6.6 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. This past season he averaged 11.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

On3Sports first reported the news and Slazinski told them, “I have known the staff for many years now. Going to Huntington Prep, we were at many games at WVU, and it has everything I’m looking for. The fan base, mixers with the city of Morgantown had everything I wanted to offer. I’m so excited to get started, and most importantly win games.”
