Former Mountaineer Bryce Ford-Wheaton had his 2023 season come to an end this weekend as he tore his ACL.
New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll announced the news on Sunday. Ford-Wheaton had impressed with his play on special teams as well as how he measures up with his size and sped in the wide receiver room.
Ford-Wheaton is a North Carolina native, and finished 12th in receptions and 15th in receiving touchdowns among wide receivers in WVU history.
Ford-Wheaton was playing for a spot on the 53-man roster, but multiple reports indicated he would make the team this fall.
