The first half of this game was dominated by the Tigers as West Virginia struggled to find their groove on offense, being held to just one shot.

Kayza Massey was the shining star for the Mountaineers in the first half, saving the Tiger’s three shots on target.

The Mountaineers were able to head into halftime with the game scoreless.

In the second half, the Mountaineers were able to find their groove on offense, having five shots on goal.

Just six minutes into the second half, the Mountaineers struck first after Chloe Adler found the right foot of Taylor White who was able to put the ball in the back of the net and give West Virginia a 1-0 lead.

The lead would only last 14 minutes for the Mountaineers as Auburn’s Sydney Richards found the right foot of Carly Thatcher who made it 1-1 in the 61st minute.

Following that goal, both teams had their chances to score, but the score of 1-1 would prove to be the final after 90 minutes.

The Mountaineers will be in action again on Sunday as they welcome Villanova to Morgantown with kickoff set for 1:00.
