West Virginia University alumnus, and Country Roads Trust Founder Ken Kendrick owns the Arizona Diamondbacks.
On Tuesday night, the Diamondbacks clinched a spot in the World Series, as they beat the Philadelphia Phillies 4-2 in Game 7 of the NLCS.
Kendrick is a native of Princeton, West Virginia, and has been the managing general partner of the Diamondbacks since 2004.
“Huge congrats to Country Roads Trust founder and West Virginia University alumnus Ken Kendrick and his Arizona Diamondbacks,” West Virginia University Director of Athletics Wren Baker said on Tuesday night.
The Diamondbacks will face the Texas Rangers in the World Series, which starts on Friday.
