To no surprise, West Virginia men’s soccer is headed back to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three years.

The Mountaineers finished the season 14-2-4, and finished second in the Sun Belt Tournament, losing to No. 1 Marshall, 3-2 on Sunday. Due to West Virginia being a top-eight seed, they will earn a first-round bye and home-field advantage through the Sweet Sixteen.

This is the Mountaineers’ first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2021, where they were the No. 11 overall seed and advanced to the quarterfinals.

The Mountaineers’ first match will take place on Sunday, Nov. 19, from Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown, where they will play the winner of the opening round Louisville vs Dayton.
