West Virginia running back Jahiem White has been named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week after his strong showing against Cincinnati.
White had 204 yards rushing, a career-high for the true freshman, and added a 75-yard touchdown reception as well as a touchdown on the ground. White made his first collegiate start on Saturday in place of CJ Donaldson.
White receives the third Big 12 honor for the Mountaineers this season, joining Beanie Bishop who was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week earlier this season.
