After the Week 12 slate of college football, West Virginia is projected to face off against some of the top teams in the country.

The Mountaineers sit at 7-4 after their 42-21 win Saturday afternoon over Cincinnati. Their 5-3 record in conference play has them tied for fifth place in a three-way tie in the Big 12 with Iowa State and Texas Tech.

In ESPN’s latest projections, one of the predictors has West Virginia playing in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl against Illinois. The other predictor has the Mountaineers facing Troy in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
