After suffering a broken fibula against Baylor on Nov. 25, 2023, West Virginia center and Fairmont native Zach Frazier is at the 2024 Senior Bowl as he prepares for the NFL draft.
Still recovering from his injury, Frazier could only participate in non-contact drills, measurements and interviews.
However, Frazier is hopeful he’ll be able to fully participate in the NFL combine and WVU’s pro-day.
“By the combine, I should be fully cleared,” Frazier said with the Pewter Report. “We’ll see how well I can recover and train. We’ll see where I’m at, but I should definitely be able to run at pro day”
As a former 4X state champion in wrestling and true competitor, Frazier was dying to get out there as a full participant but also knew he had to be smart about his recovery.
When asked if it was frustrating not being able to participate, Frazier said, he wants to do more but knows he needs to still take it slowly.
“Yeah, like when I was out here today, it was a little tempting. Like I wanted to jump out there, but I can’t push it.”
