Former West Virginia wide receiver Devin Carter is signing an undrafted free agent deal with the Carolina Panthers as announced by WVU Football’s social media.

Carter played one season at West Virginia, appearing in 12 games while recording 27 receptions for 501 yards and two touchdowns.

He also joined Doug Nester as participants in this year’s Hula Bowl. Like Nester, Carter was widely projected to be an undrafted player at the 2024 NFL Draft.

Carter, who is from North Carolina, joins a Panthers wide receiver room that was in need of help and added some new faces already with the trade acquisition of Diontae Johnson in March and the drafting of South Carolina’s Xavier Legette at 32nd overall on Thursday night. He will look to compete for some depth in the Panthers WR room.
