West Virginia did not have to leave the Big 12 to add a fifth quarterback to its core on Saturday.
Brigham Young freshman Ryder Burton announced Saturday on X that he will be joining the West Virginia Mountaineers for this fall. Burton was a three-star quarterback recruit out of high school last season.
The Utah native’s addition brings youth to WVU’s quarterback room, which currently houses senior starter Garrett Greene and redshirt sophomore backup Nicco Marchiol. Burton joins redshirt junior Jackson Crist and redshirt sophomore Scott Kean behind them in the rotation.
