We are entering the final week of the regular season and the Big 12 continues to be solid in baseball.
In the latest D1 Baseball rankings, the Big 12 is represented by Oklahoma at 12th, Oklahoma State at 19th, and Texas at 25th.
As of games through May 13, 10 out of the 13 teams have a winning record, with Baylor, BYU, and Houston being the only teams who do not have a winning record.
Let’s take a look at each Big 12 team and how they fared in games over the past week as well as seeding scenarios for the Big 12 tournament. This list is sorted alphabetically.
Baylor (21-29, 9-18 Big 12)
Last Tuesday, Baylor won a midweek home game against Tarleton 11-4. Baylor used a pair of four-run innings to help power the way to victory in this one.
This past weekend, Baylor played a three-game road series against No. 18 Oklahoma. They got swept 19-7, 9-1, and 19-9 in seven innings.
Baylor closes out the regular season with a three-game home series against UCF starting on Thursday. Baylor is mathematically eliminated from Big 12 tournament contention and all they have left to play for is pride.
BYU (19-29, 6-21 Big 12)
Last Tuesday, BYU won a midweek road game against Utah Valley 4-2. BYU used a 3-0 start to propel the way to victory in this one.
This past weekend, BYU hosted a three-game series against Cincinnati. They got swept 9-5, 4-2, and 12-5.
BYU closes out the regular season with a midweek home game against Grand Canyon later today followed by a three-game road series against Kansas State starting on Thursday. BYU is mathematically eliminated from Big 12 tournament contention and all they have left to play for is pride.
Cincinnati (30-21, 16-11 Big 12)
This past weekend, Cincinnati played a three-game road series against BYU. They swept the series 9-5, 4-2, and 12-5.
Cincinnati closes out the regular season with a midweek home game against UConn later today followed by a three-game home series against No. 12 Oklahoma starting on Thursday. Cincinnati is currently the five seed and can be as high as the two seed with a series win over Oklahoma and some help or as low as the eight seed by getting swept by Oklahoma and sweeps from TCU and Kansas State.
Houston (25-26, 7-19 Big 12)
Last Tuesday, Houston won a midweek road game against Nichols 5-4. Houston overcame a 3-0 deficit to come away victorious in this one.
This past weekend, Houston played a three-game road series against Kansas. They lost the series 2-1, winning 13-5 then losing 11-9 and 9-6.

Kansas (29-18, 15-12 Big 12)
This past weekend, Kansas hosted a three-game series against Houston. They won the series 2-1, losing 13-5 then winning 11-9 and 9-6.
Kansas closes out the regular season with a three-game road series against Texas starting on Thursday. Kansas is currently the six seed and can be as high as the two seed with a series sweep and a lot of help or as low as the nine seed by getting swept and sweeps from TCU, Kansas State, and UCF.
Kansas State (29-21, 13-14 Big 12)
This past weekend, Kansas State played a three-game road series against West Virginia. They lost the series 2-1, winning 4-3 then losing 13-0 and 12-5.

No. 12 Oklahoma (32-17, 21-6 Big 12)
This past weekend, Oklahoma hosted a three-game series against Baylor. They swept the series 19-7, 9-1, and 19-9 in seven innings.
Oklahoma closes out the regular season with a midweek road game against Xavier later today followed by a three-game road series against Cincinnati starting on Thursday. Oklahoma is locked into the one seed for the Big 12 tournament and has nothing to lose in terms of conference standing heading into their final Big 12 regular season series.
No. 19 Oklahoma State (34-16, 17-9 Big 12)
This past weekend, Oklahoma State hosted a three-game series against Texas Tech. They swept the series 16-4 and 9-3 before seeing game three get canceled due to the weather.
Oklahoma State closes out the regular season with a three-game road series against Houston starting on Thursday. Oklahoma State is currently the two seed and can’t go any higher but can be as low as the five with by getting swept and a sweep from Kansas.
TCU (30-17, 13-14 Big 12)
This past weekend, TCU hosted a three-game series against New Mexico State. They split the series by winning 8-2 then losing 9-5 before seeing game three get canceled due to weather.
TCU closes out the regular season with a three-game home series against West Virginia starting on Thursday. TCU is currently the seven seed and can be as high as the six seed with a series sweep and Kansas getting swept or as low as the nine seed by getting swept and a series sweep from UCF.
No. 25 Texas (32-20, 17-10 Big 12)
This past weekend, Texas played a three-game road series against UCF. They won the series 2-1, winning 6-3, losing 5-4, then winning 10-7.

Texas Tech (30-22, 12-17 Big 12)

UCF (31-17, 12-14 Big 12)

This past weekend, UCF hosted a three-game series against Texas. They lost the series 2-1, losing 6-3, winning 5-4, then losing 10-7.
UCF closes out the regular season with a midweek home game against Bethune-Cookman later today followed by a three-game road series against Baylor starting on Thursday. UCF is currently the nine seed and can be the six seed with a series sweep and Kansas getting swept but can’t go any lower than the nine seed.
West Virginia (31-19, 17-10 Big 12)
Last Wednesday, West Virginia won a midweek home game against Penn State 18-7. West Virginia used a 12-0 start to help propel the way to victory in this one.
