West Virginia football has landed three-star offensive lineman Gavin Crawford as announced on social media. Crawford, 6’4 310 pounds, will join the Mountaineers in 2025.

Crawford visited Morgantown multiple times and Neal Brown’s staff was able to land him over other scholarship offers from schools such as Georgia, Florida, Michigan State, and Pittsburgh.

In an interview with Rivals.com, the first thing that came to Crawford’s mind when asked why he chose the Mountaineers was, “Every time I am there, I just get a good family environment feel.” Crawford also added that his relationship with Neal Brown and offensive line coach Matt Moore was ‘vital’ in his recruitment.

According to 247Sports, Crawford is the highest rated recruit in WVU’s 2025 recruiting class. From Olney, Maryland, Crawford played the past season with a 2024 WVU OL recruit Kyle Altuner and another 2025 OL recruit for the Mountaineers, 6’8 310 lb Eidan Buchanan at Our Lady of Good Counsel.

Crawford mentioned those two teammates have been in his ear, pushing him to choose the West Virginia as his next home.

The 2025 high school class now has eight total players for Neal Brown’s program.
