West Virginia received commitment via social media from class of 2025 defensive end Romando Johnson earlier today.

Johnson, 6-foot-3 250 pounds, chose the Mountaineers as his next home after an official visit with the team over the past weekend. The decision came amidst 29 other offers from Division I schools, including Boston College, Cincinnati, Florida, Liberty, Louisville, Miami, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Wisconsin.

According to 247Sports, the Florida native is the 35th-ranked EDGE in the nation. Johnson also ranked as the 61st-highest prospect out of Florida.
