MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (July 30, 2024) – Assistant Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach Sydney Pickrem will compete in her first event for Canada at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games on July 31.

Pickrem will compete in the 200-meter breaststroke and 200-meter individual medley events for Canada at the 2024 Olympics. This marks the third Olympics that Pickrem is competing in as she represented Canada in 2016 and 2020. 

Pickrem won bronze as part of the 4×100 meter medley relay team at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. She also was a finalist in the 200 individual medley, placing sixth.

Most recently at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships, Pickrem earned silver in the 200 IM, and she also took home bronze in the 200 breaststroke and the 4×100 medley relay.
