Garrett Greene became one of 29 quarterbacks to appear on the Manning Award watchlist on Thursday morning.
The Manning Award has been presented annually since 2004 to the best collegiate quarterback in the nation, as judged by the Sugar Bowl Committee. It is the only quarterback award that includes each candidate’s postseason-bowl performance in its balloting.
Greene appears on the list after throwing for 2406 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2023. Additionally, Greene rushed for 772 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground. He was also 19th in the nation in Total QBR, according to ESPN.
Greene is one of five quarterbacks in the watch list representing the Big 12 Conference. He is joined by Alan Bowman (Oklahoma State), Noah Fifta (Arizona), Shedeur Sanders (Colorado) and Donovan Smith (Houston).
