MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (August 22, 2024) – The Mountaineer Sports Network from Learfield will introduce new entertainment programing for Mountaineer fans this fall with the debut of the WVU Olympic Sports Coaches Show live from the Mountain State Brewing Company in Morgantown.
Beginning Sept. 10, WVU Olympic Sport coaches will appear weekly each Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Mountain State Brewing Company’s new location on Monongahela Boulevard for a live, 60-minute show with host Andrew Caridi. The in-person show will allow fans to interact with the selected coach each week, ask questions about their team and become more involved with WVU Athletics.
“WVU Athletics and the Mountaineer Sports Network are proud to partner with Mountain State Brewing Company to provide more coverage of our Olympic sports programs,” WVU Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs Matt Wells said. “We believe this new coaches show will help fans engage with our coaches, expand the fan base of each program and highlight the overall strength of our athletic teams.”
The first live show begins with Mountaineer volleyball as new head coach Jen Greeny will detail her vision for the program and recap her team’s first six games of the young season.
Fans can look forward to audience interaction and entertainment each Tuesday at Mountain State Brewing Company, but the one-hour show will also be archived and available the following day for those who live out of town or cannot attend on a particular week.
WVU’s Olympic Sports Coaches Show will be available on-demand the following day on several listening options such as the Varsity App, the Apple Podcast Stream, and the WVUSports.com audio on demand feature located on the school’s official athletic website

The initial schedule of WVU Olympic coaches slated to appear in-person at the Mountain State Brewing Company is as follows:

- Tuesday, Sept. 17 – Nikki Izzo-Brown, WVU Women’s Soccer
- Tuesday, Sept. 24 – Dan Stratford, WVU Men’s Soccer
- Tuesday, Oct. 1 – Sean Cleary, WVU Cross Country and Track
- Tuesday, Oct. 8 – Jon Hammond, WVU Rifle
- Tuesday, Oct. 15 – Nikki Izzo-Brown, WVU Women’s Soccer
- Tuesday, Oct. 22 – Dan Stratford, WVU Men’s Soccer
- Tuesday, Oct. 29 – Jen Greeny, WVU Volleyball
Appearances by additional WVU Olympic coaches will be announced as the athletic season progresses into the winter and spring seasons.
