The West Virginia women’s soccer team’s game against Liberty ended in a 1-1 draw Sunday.

The Mountaineers drew first blood in the 44th minute with a goal by Senior defender Annika Leslie. Liberty was able to even the score in the 79th minute with a goal from Sophomore defender Lauren Littleton, which led to the draw

West Virginia recorded seven shots on goal to Liberty’s three, leading to one goal by each team. Three yellow cards were given out, one to the Mountaineers and two to Liberty.

The Mountaineer’s record is now 4-2-1 while Liberty continues their undefeated season with a record of 7-0-1. They will travel to face Cincinnati on September 12th. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
