The West Virginia University golf team participated in the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational over the past two days.

Play was suspended Monday due to darkness, but it didn’t stop the Mountaineers from dominating.

As a team, the Mountaineers shot two over par, finishing 12 strokes ahead of second-place George Mason University. WVU golfer Kaleb Wilson finished the three rounds seven under par, securing the individual title. His teammates Ryan Leach and Todd Duncan both finished four under par.

It was a strong showing for the team, and they hope to continue their success with Big 12 Match Play approaching, scheduled for Oct. 7-9 in Hockley, Texas, at The Clubs at Houston Oaks.
