West Virginia will be on the road this week as they face Oklahoma State in their second Big 12 matchup.
The Cowboys are 3-2 this season, coming off back-to-back losses to open conference play. WVU is 2-2 fresh off a bye week.
The Mountaineers are 5-10 against Oklahoma State all-time. Their first matchup was in 1928, and West Virginia won 32-6, their largest margin of victory.
They played again in 1929, with WVU winning 9-6, the smallest margin of victory in the two programs’ history. They wouldn’t play again until 1987, when OSU was victorious, and again when WVU joined the Big 12 in 2012.
The two teams have faced off 12 times as conference opponents, with Oklahoma State having the upperhand with a 9-3 record against West Virginia. From 2015 to 2021, OSU had a seven-game winning streak against the Mountaineers, which was 8-2 in the last 10 matchups.
West Virginia is 3-4 away and 2-5 at home, 0-1 at a neutral site (1987). Last year, the Cowboys came into Morgantown and left with a 48-34 win.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 4 p.m. EST and will be televised on ESPN2.
