Wednesday, WVU women’s soccer senior defender Annika Leslie was named the Big 12 Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
Leslie played all 90 minutes last week as the Mountaineers pitched their sixth shutout of the year. She and West Virginia’s defense held UCF to just four shots on goal and the team remains undefeated in conference play.
The Big 12 honors were the first of Leslie’s career.
WVU travels to Fort Worth to take on TCU in their next contest this Thursday.
