Now that Week 8 of the NFL season has officially wrapped up, let’s take a look around the league at the performances of some former Mountaineers.
Beanie Bishop
Steelers Cornerback Beanie Bishop recorded his third interception in two games to secure the 26-18 win in Monday Night football over the New York Giants. Bishop also recorded five tackles and a pass defended to accompany his third career interception. That ties him for fifth in the league leaders for interceptions. Bishop and the Steelers have a bye week next week.
Dante Stills
Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman recorded four total tackles, with two being solo tackles to go along with a sack and a forced fumble in the Cardinal’s 28-27 comeback win over the Miami Dolphins. Stills picked up his third sack of the season in the win while being named the fourth-highest-graded Cardinal with a 71.0 PFF grade. The Cardinals will take on the Chicago Bears at home next Sunday at 4:25 pm EST, looking to improve their record to 5-4.
Colton McKivitz
The San Francisco 49ers picked up a big 30-24 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. Right, Tackle Colton McKivitz was a crucial part of the 49ers’ successful rushing attack, which accumulated 223 rushing yards, leading them to a win. The 49ers will be on their bye week next week.
Kyzir White
Arizona Cardinals linebacker Kyzir White was one of four defensive players to play all 65 defensive snaps for the Cardinals. White recorded six solo tackles and seven total for the game in the comeback 28-27 win over the Miami Dolphins. The Arizona Cardinals will host the Chicago Bears at 4:25 pm EST next Sunday.
David Long Jr
Miami Dolphins linebacker David Long Jr recorded six solo and nine total tackles in the Dolphin’s 28-27 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The Dolphins will look to improve their record to 3-5 next week on the road in Buffalo to take on the Bills at 1:00 pm EST.
Geno Smith
Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Geno Smith struggled against the Buffalo Bills in Week 8, losing 31-10 at home. Smith completed 21 of his 29 pass attempts for 212 yards and an interception, giving Geno an 11.0 QBR, his lowest this season. The Seahawks will host the Los Angeles Rams next Sunday at 4:25 pm EST.
Rasul Douglas
Buffalo Bills cornerback Rasul Douglas recorded five solo tackles and six total to go along with a pass defended against fellow WVU alum Geno Smith en route to a blowout win over the Seahawks. The Buffalo Bills will host the Miami Dolphins next Sunday at 1:00 pm EST.
Zach Frazier
Steelers center Zach Frazier was ruled out for the second straight game with an ankle injury. Luckily for Frazier, the Steelers will have a bye week next week; Frazier seems to be on track to play in Week 10 against the Washington Commanders.
