NFL writer for The Athletic, Dane Brugler, mentioned two former Mountaineers in his NFL midseason All-Rookie team.

Zach Frazier was named as given the honors as an interior offensive lineman. Beanie Bishop was named a runner-up at cornerback.

Both play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Frazier was drafted in the second round, and Bishop was undrafted. The Steelers are 6-2 this season, coming off a bye, and they are in first place in the AFC North.

Frazier has been highly regarded as one of the best rookie offensive linemen. Analysts such as Brian Baldinger have praised him throughout the season so far. He’s missed a couple of weeks due to injury but has been back to practice.

Bishop has recently been turning heads with his performance. He’s had three interceptions in his two games, two against the New York Jets and one against the New York Giants.

Pittsburgh will take on the Washington Commanders on the road this week.
