Looking to add depth to this their quarterback room due to the injury to the injury of starting quarterback Dak Prescott, former West Virginia quarterback Will Grier, who had been released by the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this week, was signed to the Dallas Cowboys practice squad.
Grier was originally drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2019 draft following a standout career at WVU. He has since been a part of five other franchises.
This is Grier’s second stint with Dallas; he was with them in 2021 and 2022. In addition to the Cowboys, Eagles, and Panthers, he’s spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots and Los Angeles Chargers.
