Following Neal Brown being let go by West Virginia, four-star quarterback recruit in the class of 2026, Brodie McWhorter, has de-committed from WVU.

It’s safe to say that McWhorter has built a strong relationship with Brown, as he expressed his disappointment with the news on social media. The 6-foot-2 quarterback from Cartersville, Georgia, is currently ranked as the No. 20 quarterback in his class.

McWhorter holds several power four offers but chose the Mountaineers on June 24. This couldn’t come as a complete shock with the coaching change with a little more than a year before McWhorter would sign.
