WVU men’s basketball was ranked No. 29 in the first NET polls of the year following their performance in the Battle 4 Atlantis.
The Mountaineers took third place in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament this past week, beating teams like No. 3 Gonzaga and No. 24 Arizona has the Mountaineers in the newest NET poll.
The NET rankings consider more than just the winning percentage. It also considers other stats like game results, strength of schedule, game location, net offensive and defensive efficiency, and more.
To start the season, the NET polls have West Virginia with the 13th-highest net strength of schedule. Even with the hard schedule, WVU is 5-2 and ranked No. 29 in the NET polls.
The Mountaineers will take on Georgetown at home on Friday, Dec. 6th at 7 pm EST in the Big 12-Big East Battle.
