West Virginia announced that forward Tucker DeVries is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury ahead of the Mountaineers’ matchup with North Carolina Central.

Through WVU’s first eight games, DeVries has averaged just 14.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game. He dealt with a shoulder injury towards the end of last season while he was at Drake and had surgery over the offseason.

Including North Carolina Central, West Virginia will have three nonconference games before they kickoff Big 12 play against No. 10 Kansas on Dec. 31.
