Coming off a break-out year last season, former Mountaineer Miles ‘Deuce’ McBride is one of the most productive players off the bench for the New York Knicks this year.
In 2023-2024, Deuce averaged 8.3 points, 1.7 assists and 1.5 rebounds a game. Through 19 games this season, he’s averaging 10.9 points, 2.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds a game, while all of his shooting percentages are up.
McBride has yet to start a game this year but scored a season-high 22 points against the Boston Celtics in the Knicks’ first game. Deuce’s career-high is 29 points, a feat he reached twice last year, less than ten days apart.
While Deuce doesn’t start for a New York team loaded with star power, he still averages close to 26 minutes a game. McBride is a player to look out for to be in the conversation for the Sixth Man of the Year award this season.
