West Virginia head coach Mark Kellogg spoke to the media following the Mountaineers’ 54-37 win over No. 24 Oklahoma State on Saturday.

“First, thanks to the crowd for coming. That’s as loud as it’s been (WVU Coliseum) since I’ve been here, so I think we had a great home-court advantage tonight,” Kellogg said in his opening statement.

West Virginia secured its 17th win of the season, led by Sydney Shaw’s 18 points and JJ Quinerly’s career-high eight steals.

When asked about Shaw’s performance, Kellogg said, “I thought she was on balance, she let the game kind of come to her, and we found her at some right times. Honestly, we missed her a couple of times where we could’ve found her.”

Oklahoma State entered the game averaging 80 points but was held to just 37. The Cowgirls shot 21% from the field and committed 21 turnovers.

While WVU’s offense also struggled, the Mountaineers did enough to secure a double-digit victory over a ranked conference opponent.
