WVU’s head coach will be taking advantage of his Mountaineers’ 10-3 home record on Tuesday.

From the end of January through the start of February, West Virginia Men’s Basketball went 1-4 in a challenging five-game stretch. Returning home after a road loss, WVU picked up its lost momentum at home against Utah on Saturday.

Now at 15-8 overall and 6-6 in the conference, head coach Darian DeVries will be looking for similar outcomes as the season dies down this month. To get that, he will be leaning on WVU’s respected fanbase.

“Students, we need your support,” DeVries said in a message on the team’s X account on Monday.

“Saturday’s atmosphere was incredible,” DeVries said. “You showed up big time for us, and we need you to do it again.”

As part of DeVries’ and the Mountaineers’ efforts to utilize the home energy, WVU will be discounting all drinks by 50% at the student gate and providing free $10 concession vouchers to the first 300 students in attendance at Tuesday night’s matchup against BYU.

“Come early, be loud, wear blue, and bring the energy. Let’s go,” Devries said to finish his message.
