After being drafted 7th overall by the Saint Louis Cardinals in this year’s past MLB Draft, former WVU standout start, JJ Wetherholt is already making noise in the show.
Wetherholt started his first game off in Spring Training with a go-ahead three run opposite field homerun to give the Cardinals the lead in the 5th inning. It was the shortstop’s second hit in three plate appearances at that point in the game.
