After snapping a three-game losing streak on Sunday, Darian DeVries’ Mountaineers are back on the road for a conference game against TCU.
The Horned Frogs enter 11-10 overall and 4-6 in Big 12 play. West Virginia stands just one game ahead in conference standings but is 14-7 overall.

1st Half
Vasean Allette puts the first points on the board for TCU, which Amani Hansberry quickly matches with two free throws on the other end.
Sencire Harris takes the 4-2 lead with a steal and make on a TCU inbound pass under the basket. Harris breaks an 0-2 start from the field with two turnovers for West Virginia.
Mountaineers force another turnover heading into the media timeout. WVU leads 6-2.
Joseph Yesufu shoots two from three and gets his first two misses of the week after going perfect from the field on Sunday. WVU makes a stop at the other end and Toby Okani converts at the rim.
Tenner grabs a steal under the basket but jumps out of the way of a falling Eduardo Andre. TCU regains possession, and Noah Reynolds breaks WVU’s 10-0 run with a three. WVU leads 10-5.
Out of the timeout, Harris scores before Small steals the ball and makes a play with Jonathan Powell for Small’s first score, a step-back three-pointer. WVU leads 15-7.
Through 10 minutes, West Virginia has forced nine TCU turnovers and held the Horned Frogs to 3-for-12 from the field. Even so, WVU leads just 15-10.
Javon Small makes another deep three, this time on a Hansberry assist, as he begins to heat up. WVU leads 21-12 with 8:26 remaining in the half.
Eduardo Andre limps off the court with injury after throwing the last pass on a quick sequence between himself, Javon Small, and Toby Okani. Okani’s score puts WVU up 25-13.
DeVries calls a timeout with 3:35 remaining as TCU gets off to a 6-0 scoring run.
Andre returns to the game with just over a minute remaining and immediately dunks to put WVU up five. TCU scores and gets a steal and fast break to cut the lead to just one. Small goes for two at the rim but is blocked Ernest Udeh to end the half.
WVU leads just 29-28 at the end of the first.
2nd Half
WVU goes scoreless in the first minute of the period. Udeh makes his first of two attempts at the line to tie the game at 29. TCU takes the lead on its next possession.
Sencire Harris tries a pass to small in the left corner, which becomes a turnover. Seven unanswered points put WVU down six through four minutes.
WVU breaks the run with a Harris lob from the three-point to Andre, who dunks for the alley-oop. Reynolds immediately counters with a three to put TCU up seven.
Reynolds adds a pair of free throws and another layup to counter Andre’s second bucket in the half. TCU now leads 42-33. Reynolds is up to 18 points.
West Virginia once again scores out of a timeout, this time in the form of a Yesufu three, and it is once again countered by Noah Reynolds.
Yesufu makes his third three of the night to cut the TCU lead to single digits. Jonathan Powell gets the assist.
Small gets blocked yet again, this time on a midrange attempt near the left corner. West Virginia turns the ball over down eight with less than 10 minutes left in the game.
Okani spins to score inside, becoming the first Mountaineer not named Eduardo Andre or Joseph Yesufu to score in the half. Andre scores next, but both baskets are matched with explosive dunks by TCU. WVU trails 51-43 with 8:20 remaining.
Yet another TCU fast break dunk forces a WVU timeout.
Small makes his first points of the half with a pivotal three. This time, WVU makes the stop at the other end, successfully cutting the lead to six with six minutes to go.
Small cuts inside and makes a floater. TCU turns it over. WVU trails 54-50.
A Javon Small deep three from the logo cuts the TCU lead to one with 4:36 to go. TCU calls timeout.
Small drives in and kicks the ball out to Powell near where Small made his big three. Powell’s goes to tie the game at 56.
West Virginia forces a shot clock violation and will have the ball after the timeout. Just over three minutes remain.
Okani gets an opportunity at the line. He misses his first off the front of the rim and his second off the backboard.
Andre fouls Posey on what appears to be a clean block. Posey does not waste his opportunity, putting TCU up two with 2:28 to go.
Javon Small pokes the ball away from Punch and converts on the breakaway. WVU and TCU are tied at 58 with 1:16 to go.
TCU goes up three on an and-one layup for Vasean Allette. Small misses the three on the other end to tie it, and Powell goes out of bounds with the rebound. TCU calls timeout up 61-58 with 20.4 seconds remaining.
WVU makes multiple stops, but Allette gets the offensive rebound and score to put TCU up five. Yesufu gets fouled at the rim on the other end but misses both.
West Virginia fouls in the final seconds, allowing TCU to put the lead up to seven. Yesufu makes up for his misses with a buzzer-beating layup.
TCU defeats West Virginia, 65-60.
