West Virginia native set to find new home on second night of NFL Draft

Wyatt Milum is all but guaranteed to start his NFL career on Friday.

After the potential of a first-round selection lingering on Thursday night, the former WVU offensive tackle will not have to wait much longer to see where his NFL career will begin.

Milum played four seasons at West Virginia after growing up in Almost Heaven and attending Spring Valley High School in Huntington.

The second and third rounds of the NFL Draft will begin at 7 p.m. ET on Friday night on ESPN, ABC, and NFL Network. Originally projected to go in the third round by both CBS Sports and The Athletic at the start of the week, Milum could expect his name called during the evening.

ESPN has Milum as the 83rd best prospect available after the first round, which would imply a day three selection for the All-American.

If he falls past the third round, Milum’s selection will be slated after the beginning of the fourth round on Saturday at noon. Milum is the only Mountaineer projected to be drafted in 2025.
