WVU Lands Former Jacksonville State Wide Receiver

Matt Zenitz reports that former Jacksonville State wide receiver Jordan McCants has signed with the Mountaineers.

McCants is a redshirt junior who appeared in every game as a redshirt freshman in 2023 but only caught one pass for 28 yards. This past season, he saw an increased role in which he hauled in 15 passes for 146 yards.

He is a Birmingham, Alabama native and is familiar with head coach Rich Rodriguez and wide receiver coach Ryan Garrett, having played under them at Jacksonville State. He will rejoin his former coaches in Morgantown and become the third wide receiver to join the team in this Spring transfer portal cycle.

24/7 Sports had McCants as a three-star prospect in the class of 2022 before he committed to Jacksonville State.

McCants will have two years of eligibility remaining.
