Following their sweep of Big 12 opponent and former No. 17 UCF over the weekend, the West Virginia baseball team earned a spot at No. 22 in DI Baseball’s latest Top 25 released Monday.

The Mountaineers earned a walk-off win Sunday against the Knights to complete their sweep, with Reed Chumley sending one over the fence in the bottom of the 11th. They defeated UCF 7-5 on Saturday and 7-6 on Friday.

WVU is now 22-13 on the season and 11-4 in Big 12 play. They sit atop the conference tied with Oklahoma, whom they held the tiebreaker over since they took the series over the Sooners in late March. West Virginia has won seven straight Big 12 games.

The only other Big 12 team included in the rankings is No. 15 Oklahoma State, who beat the Mountaineers in a three-game series and hold a 10-5 record in conference play.

West Virginia is back in action against Pitt at home on Tuesday, with the first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. EST. After that, they’ll travel to the Lone Star State to take on Texas Tech in a three-game beginning Friday.
